[Editor’s Note: Each season I handpick one of the veterans to write the High Rollers Report. The report is a breakdown of the individual match-ups on Super Saturday and its sole purpose is to provide a little entertainment the day before. If he/she takes shots or jabs at you it means they like you, it’s all in good fun. As always, the guest writer has been granted anonymity. So without further ado, I bring to you the Season 22 High Rollers Report.]
Well, well, well, It is about TIME!!! — About time Duke asked me to right this mo-fo. There has been a TON of smack talk all skeeson (I’m talking to you Rob) about who will out-roll who during the skeeson (clearly Justin lost that bet), but guess what? None of that will matter if you can’t bring it on Saturday. You can win the MVSkee but lose in the HRT and no one will think of you as a great roller like you think you are (I’m talking to you Ben). So make sure you bring your A game and have some ice/alcohol flowing through your veins. Enough of an intro, let the picks begin!
Round 1 – Ben’s Bracket
Best Match-up: Polischoke vs Lindsay Allen – Teammates facing off in round 1 is always a fun match-up, but when it involves the Smack Talk Champion — get you popcorn ready. It’s almost like Everett hand picked this! [Editor’s Note: This will be my favorite match-up of the day.]
Sleeper Of the Bracket: Kyle Sherry. Everyone else is picking Eric and Ben to match-up in round 3, but don’t over look Kyle. No one should sleep on Kyle. [Editor’s Note: agree 100%. Watch out.]
Upset of the Bracket: Josh over Eric. Lock of the tournament.
Winner of the bracket: Lindsay Allen. If she survives the smack talk from the hawk she’s going to cruise to the final 4.
Round 2 – Mike’s Bracket
Before we get to the bracket, when did Mike become a top notch roller. I had to check the bracket twice. Sorry Mike.
Best Match-up: Rob vs Mike. Please let this happen. The only person that might want this more than me is Duke. Please!
Sleeper Of the Bracket: Rob. He won rookskee of the year. He carried his team to the final four. And he will want redemption after losing early in the day. Dude can roll.
Upset of the Bracket: Rob over Mike. [Editor’s Note: no chance a rookskee makes it that far. None.]
Winner of the bracket: Dawson. No one saw this coming. Not even Dawson. [Editor’s Note: LOL @ this pick]
Round 3 – Pat’s Bracket
Best Match-up: Cory vs Andrew. Another teammate show down that will end in 3rd frame fireworks.
Sleeper Of the Bracket: Danny. Kid will be blacked out — and if he stays on the right lane he’s going to shock some people.
Upset of the Bracket: Jeff over Pat. Jeff is making a run. I feel it. [Editor’s Note: I got Pat winning.]
Winner of the bracket: Andrew. He’s going back to the final four and even Cory can’t stop him.
Round 4 – Everett’s Bracket
I thought Everett wasn’t playing? Ben is going to be pissed. [Editor’s Note: He’s not playing.]
Best Match-up: Diana vs Steph. If they ever stop hugging someone will win.
Sleeper Of the Bracket: Mike. I’ve seen it before. Beware.
Upset of the Bracket: Steph over Steve. Steve will be too drunk… again.
Winner of the bracket: Brian. Every couple seasons he wins. It’s usually when he’s a 19 seed. Or maybe I just made that up.
Final 4
Lindsay vs Dawson. Lindsay will be sober — at least compared to Dawson. [Editor’s Note: Dawson will have already won the smashy by this point… or will it once again slip through his hands]
Andrew vs Brian. Maybe Brian was an 18 seed when he won. Give me Andrew.
Finals
Lindsay vs Andrew. I’m rooting for Lindsay but Andrew wins in 3 straight.
