Season 7 HRT Champion

Season 7 HRT Champion – Every season I tell people that anything can happen on Super Skeeball Saturday. Most people laugh and think I just say that to make them “feel” like they have a chance. Truth is, I’ve seen it happen for 7 seasons and it will continue to happen for seasons to come. This season was by far one of the most exciting Super Skeeball Saturdays that I can remember. The drinks were flowing, the crowd was cheering and the top seeds were going down! The final 8 consisted of Nick Davis the #33 seed versus Sean Biggins the #40 seed, Brian Aldridge the #13 seed versus Jamie Bergstein the #60 seed, Derek Morgan the #2 seed versus Chuck Labbee the #23 seed, and John Polischuk the #19 seed versus Patrick Bassett the #11 seed. And if Jerry Glendye hadn’t done some bad math and gone up the middle on his final ball to beat Derek (instead he went hundo when he only needed 20 to win) no one in the top 10 would have made the Final 8. Damn that would have been awesome! But you can’t give an elite roller 2 chances in the HRT. Derek beat Jerry in overtime, knocked out Patrick in the final 4 and took down Bri-Guy in the finals on the 5th and final frame to take home the championship. Fear the beard. Also, congrats to Alex Ramirez for winning the Wild Card tournament. The WCT was just as crazy as the HRT and Alex outlasted the field to take home the hardware!
