Season 24 Champions – Draft Seasons usually tend to be more chaotic due to the way the teams are put together and come playoff time the top seeds more often than not get taken out early. But what happens when you have a team that has one very good roller and two subs?
Apparently, it just adds even more chaos.
Andrew came into playoffs without either of his teammates: Alex Green & George Thompson. He was able to put together a team with Steve Thomas & an unknown roller named Tim Allen. (No, not THAT Tim Allen.) Andrew should’ve also played the lottery that night as he found himself a winning combination to get to Super Saturday. First they eliminated M.I.Skee in a close one & in a major upset beat the #2 seed, Multiple Personaliskees, 1211-1206. That game had FOUR rollers break 430. Again, should’ve played Powerball.
Heading into Super Saturday, Andrew got back Alex Green and still kept Tim as their third and they were able to sneak by the Glass Skeeling Breakers on Lane 3 before blowing out Rolling Leftskee, Drinking Right! to take home Season 24’s Chalice.
This now gives Andrew his fourth chalice in six seasons, a true Dynaskee roller even though this one may get a dreaded asterisk on it. Like Chuck, I’m sure he doesn’t mind one damn bit. Alex, George, and Tim all enjoy their first while Steve can brag to Rob about that time he whooped him in a playoff match and denied him a shot to get to Super Saturday.
Season 25 is already going strong with teams like Total Eclipse of the Hundo, Skeel Panther, The Skeegenerates, & Smooth Operators averaging over 1000. Can they keep it up to be your Season 25 Chalice winners or is there a myskeery team out there to win it all?
PS – A new rule will be put in place that requires 2 or 3 original team members on a team at all times throughout the playoffs.
